Imphal, February 05, 2009: The hunger relay strike being launched up Sharmila Kanba Lup at Porompat PDA complex in pursuance of the demand for withdrawal of Armed Forces Special Powers Act from Manipur has completed 58 days today.

Carrying forward the agitation, Meira Paibis of Chanam Sandrok, Lamdan Khunou, Ahallup and Khunamrok participated in the hunger relay strike. The president qf United Manipuri Muslim Women's.Organsiation Sitara Begum, Meira Paibi member of Ahallup W Ibemcha, Meira Paibi member of Khunamrok T Prabha, convenor of Sharmila Kanba Lup K Taruni and the Lup member W Nandarani were among those who spoke as re source persons at the occasion today.
