Imphal, February 26 2009: Decrying the bomb attack at the house of Dr Nongthonbam Ibohal by suspected militants, a sit-in protest was staged by the womenfolk of Heirangoithong under the banner of Heirangoithong West yangam Leirak Nupi Association.

Why the miscreants exploded bomb in the thickly populated area and caused fear and panicky to the people asked the secretary of the women body Maibam Leibakleima speaking to the media persons at the protest site today.

If the splinters of the blast happened to cause injuries to the people, who will bear the responsibility, she asked.

If the attack be related with public interest thing why not they (miscreants) tried to held consultation with the person they think acted against them and bring an amicable solution.

If such act of intimidating people continues there would nowhere peace in the state, she further said.
