Imphal, January 10, 2010: The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (Prepak) has reiterated that the non-Manipuri labourers struggling to eke out a living in Manipur are not the enemies of the party.

Publicity in-Charge of the party, Aheiba Angom in a press release stated that the party is not in any way related with the serial killing of non-Manipuri labourers in the region.

The party does not execute any person without proper trial in the people's court under Article 28 (2) of the party's constitution.

If the party has to give capital punishment to any person, it will be done so only when the person is found guilty by the people's court, the press release stated.

The statement of Imphal West district police that arrest of two persons namely Sgt Moirangthem Monao @ Parimacha @ Mohen @ Sana (26) of Sayang Lambi and Laikhuram Munal @ Sanathoi (24) of Langjing Achouba, by a combined force of IW police commandos and troops of 28 AR implicating Prepak and other insurgent organisations as being involved in the killings of non-Manipuris is a baseless charge, Aheiba Angom stated.

It is the habit of the security forces to spread canards against the revolutionary organisations, Aheiba Angom pointed out and appealed to the people to remain alert against such false propaganda.
