Court orders for IT parade on Krishnadas murder case

Imphal, July 04 2009: Chief Judicial Magistrates, Imphal today had given permission for Test Identification (TI) parade to two persons including Seram Ashalata who is currently in jail by the prosecution witnesses of the case on the murder of special contractors, Y Krishnadas after taking a ransom amount of Rs 25 lakh.

Investigation officer of the case today sought the permission of the court stating the need of the TI parade to identify accuses during the course of investigation by the witness.

After hearing the prayer of the IO, give the permission to conduct IT parade to Ashalata who is in Shajiwa jail before the wife of the late Krishnadas.

Meanwhile, Khuraijam Lakpa alias Nanao alias Holendro of Kongpal Khaidem Leikai who has been in the police custody after he was arrested in connection with the case was produced before the court with the expiry of his remand period.

The CJM court has remanded him 10 days further into the police custody for further interrogation.

He was arrested by the police on June 25 last along with a .32 pistol with magazine and two demand letters of KCP.

Police also seized an Aircel SIM card with number 98568718 from Lakpa which he had tried to eliminate the evidences.

Another half broken SIM card of Reliance which police yet to know the number was also seized from his possession.

Police are looking on the angle that whether Lakpa was included among the miscreants who abducted Krishnadas from his wife's parental home at Thangmeiband.

Police will also conduct IT parade before the wife of late Krishnadas to know his involvement in the abduction.
