Imphal, June 02 2009: Students of various across the four valley district continue staging sit-in protest decrying the arrest of students' leaders in connection with murder of the professor today.

Staging of protest against the murder of the professor Md Islamuddin was also by students of various schools has also started from today.

Schools which staged sit-in protest were Cosmopolitan School, Oinam, Brighter Academy School, Oinam, Hafij Brighter Academy, Keikhu, Langdum Higher School, Langdum, Ch Thambou high School, Iroishemba.

During the protest demonstrations students displayed placards read as "End the controversy immediately, release the detained students, we protest arrest of students, don't disturb in study, don't try to abolish student bodies, respect the educational institutions, don't hit to soft target, etc.

Womenfolk also staged carried out sit-in demonstration against the detention of the students by the government forces.

It was carried at Uripok Ahanthem Leikai, Lamboi Khongnangkhong.

Students of Royal Academy of Sceince, Wangkhei Dhanewori School, MM higher Secondary School, St, Jeorge and St Sebastian etc.
