Imphal, April 24 2009: The Relay hunger strike which had been observing by various social organizations of the state since December 10, 2008 last at the PDA complex, Porompat under the organization of Sharmila Kanba Lup (SKL) with an objective to save Irom Sharmila who had been undertaking hunger strike for the past more then 8 years in demand to repeal the brutal act of the Armed Forces Special Power Act 1958 (AFSPA) has completed 136 days today.

Around 50 volunteers of Tengri Meira Paibi Lup took part in today's hunger strike.

Around 100 volunteers of Echam Khunou Meira Paibi in support to the movement of SKL also observed hunger strike today as its 79th day.
