Imphal, January 16 2009: THE PROSCRIBED People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has offered "revolutionary salute at the highest level" to its departed comrade Pte Naorem Rabichandra @ Ronel (18), son of N Modhu, Army No.300881, of Moidangpok Mayai Leikai, who was killed in an encounter between a fighting troop of Red Army under CO in-charge of Unit II and personnel of 11 AR at Khoupum Satudai in Nungba Sub-division on the night of January 12 .

A press release issued by Aheiba Angom, Secretary in-charge, Department of Publicity and Propaganda, PREPAK stated that the party shares the grief of the surviving members of the family over the sudden demise of Pte Ronel.

It further stated that the unfortunate incident happened when the fighting troop had to go on an important assignment of the party, the AR personnel had laid an ambush.

Pte Ronel relentlessly fought with the enemy and sacrificed his life to save his comrades who went along with him, the press release stated.

Aheiba Angom further stated that Pte Ronel had received military training on the 30th batch and had courageously taken part in many activities of the party.

The surviving comrades of the party will emulate the role that Ronel had taken in course of the national liberation movement of Kangleipak.

His death had left a vacuum that can't be filled, Aheiba Angom stated.
