Imphal, June 01 2009:
Five students, among the 13 arrested by the police in connection with the killing of Prof Islamuddin by a militant group on May 25 last at MU Campus will be detained under National Security Act (NSA), a report said.
According to the report, the period for remaining in police custody for all the arrested students will expire tomorrow and later they will be produced before Court to seek Judicial Custody remand.
Police source said that the students will be produced before the Court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal tomorrow around noon.
Five of the 13 students are said to be detained under NSA on charge of being activists of an underground organisations and having link with them, the source said.
