Imphal, April 01 2009: The underground outfit Kangleipak Communist Party-Military Council (KCP-MC) has given a strong warning to the Manipur police commandos that unless they give up their habit of killing and arresting any person and making unfounded charges henceforth, the party will start attacking their family members at any time and at any place.

Informing this, Puranthaba, Officer, Information and Public Relations, KCP-MC stated in a press release that unless and until the Manipur police commandos give up their favourite activities of killing and arresting at random in order to get promotion, there will never be peace and tranquility in Manipur.

The commandos should stop humiliating relatives and family members of the insurgents, Puranthaba warned.

He stated that the 29 year-old woman called Wahengbam Ningol Leishangthem Ongbi Minakumari @ Kabita @ Ranibala, wife of L Naresh of Kwakeithel Leimakhujam Leikai, who was arrested by the Imphal West police commandos along with her four year-old daughter yesterday has no relation whatsoever with the KCP-MC.

The party does not assign any work to such woman, he stated.

The statement of the police that the woman is used by the party in activities connected with collection of money is totally unfounded and is a fabricated story, Puranthaba stated.

In another matter, Puranthaba informed that the party has had no contact with Project Officer Chingshubam Rabi @ Paikhomba @ Meleinganba, son of Ch Kunjo of Langthabal Laipham Awang Leikai for the past two months.

Therefore, all works and activities initated by him have been banned until further orders.

Meanwhile, anyone found to be high-handed in the correction drive being intensively launched at the private hospitals and clinics will be given severe punishment, Puranthaba warned and appealed to the people not to visit private hospitals/clinics.
