Imphal, October 26 2008: THE PROSCRIBED United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has strongly condemned the bus burning incident of October 23 night in Karbi Anglong district of Assam.

A press release issued by Senior Publicity Officer of UNLF, Ksh Yoiheiba stated that the act of keeping all the passengers of a Guwahati bound bus from Imphal locked inside the bus and pouring petrol on the bus then setting it afire resulting in the death of two innocent passengers was a thoughtless and merciless act.

Such a deliberate act with an intention to kill the passengers is a serious crime against humanity.

Therefore, everyone irrespective of ethnic communities should condemn the action, Yoiheiba stated.

He further stated that not only condemning such thoughtless act, the whole people should together teach the perpetrators of the crime a lesson they deserve.
