Imphal, November 17 2009: The underground Kuki Liberation Organisation (KLO/KLA) today dismissed the charges leveled against the outfit by rival armed outfit KCP MC (Lamyanba Khuman) over the killing of its deputy chief, Thangboi.

Speaking to reporters somewhere in Sadar Hills, the information and publicity secretary of KLO/KLA, Addy Kuki said the outfit had esteemed the KCP (MC) as an organisation having larger aspiration.

But they happen to be a gang-group with the intention of creating tension in the state.

Denying the allegation that the KLO/KLA was involved in the killing of two 'lieutenant colonels' of the KCP MC (Lamyanba Khuman) on October 27 at K Songlung village in Tamenglong district, Addy Kuki said the charge was baseless.

He said, the two cadres of the KCP MC were killed in a factional fight amongst the party.

He said on the day of the incident, cadres of KCP MC had sought refuge from the KLO/KLA.

After establishing contact with the outfit's higher ups, the cadres were provided refuge.

Maintaining revolutionary principle, the KLO/KLA had attempted to solve the issue of in-fighting among the KCP MC as per their will.

He said, the KLO/KLA deputy chief, Thangboi alias Robinson was appointed as negotiator to solve the misunderstanding among the KCP MC.

He alleged that Thangboi alias Robinson was killed by section of KCP MC cadres while he returned after holding talks with them.

This indicates that the KCP MC is a revolutionary group without principle.

They are also agents of causing misunderstanding and distrust among the hill and valley people.

The KLO/KLA did not have any segregation of the hill and valley people with the killing of its deputy chief Thangboi.

Rather, it takes that Thangboi died an unfortunate death while trying to solve the misunderstanding amongst the KCP MC.

He said, it is a great loss for the KLO/KLA.

Addy Kuki also acknowldeged condolence messages from various Kuki organisations including the Revolutionary Government of Kuki-Gam (RGK/KRA) over the death of Thangboi alias Robinson.
