Imphal, June 16 2009: The outlawed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has strongly condemned the merciless killing of contractor Yengkhom Krishnadas and said that the party has no link, outside or inside, with the incident.

Aheiba Angom, Secretary in-Charge, Department of Publicity and Propaganda, PREPAK today stated in a press release that the party shares the grief of the family, friends and relatives.

He stated that the party is of the firm conviction that abducting a man and finally arriving at an agreement of giving and taking Rs 25 lakh as ransom, then instead of handing him over to the family, killing him by slashing with a knife are acts of crime committed against humanity.

It can not be believed that any genuine revolutionary organisation would ever commit such inhuman act.

The party feels that it was done by the enemies who pretend to be self-styled revolutionaries and try to wrongly project the genuine revolutionaries.

Therefore, people need to remain alert from such gangs.

The party will also keep an eye on such gangs, Aheiba stated.

He further stated that the agitation launched by the residents of Kakching to root out such gangs of murderers is a right movement, and the party supports the movement.

All civil society organisations must not remain silent, instead must join hands with the residents of Kakching, PREPAK asserted.

On the other hand, the party offered revolutionary salute to Late Chandam Sunildro@Nong (32), son of Yaima of Khurai Salanthong Lairikyengbam Leikai, who was killed by Imphal East police commandos on June 12 .

He was killed in a fake encounter, Aheiba Angom stated and conveyed condolences to the aggrieved family.
