Imphal, January 10, 2010: The downtrodden, peasants and workers of India are not the enemy of RPF and its armed wing PLA and will support them in their struggle for political freedom.

RPF has no policy of killing people who are struggling for daily existence and who are economic refugees, said a press release issued by GM Changjou, Chief, Deptt of Publicity RPF.

The attempt to implicate the RPF in the killing of non-locals by the police through Moirangthem Mano and Laikhuram Munal is yet another move to show the liberation struggle in false light in the eyes of our people and the world, continued the release.

It said the RPF does not recognize Mano and Munal.

The fact that and additional SP did not know that according to Indian law, confessions to police are not accepted by the courts is shameful said the release.

The very idea that the confession of Cadre of a different group, that too in police custody linking RPF/PLA to the killings will be believed by the people, is shameful.

In future, are we going to believe if a cadre of another group says killing of non-Manipuri are planned by some Congress leaders who are against CM Ibobi or by a conspiracy between top police official, asked the release.

The idea that killing those who are refugees in this land will cause problems to Ibobi and that RPF is involved in that is the thinking of shallow minds.

For the RPF, every government in the state is a puppet government, it makes no difference between Ibobi or anybody else or matter whether it is one party or the other at the center, said the release.

For the RPF, continued the release, it has always believed in a peaceful world and have followed all the conventions and protocols of the United Nations till now.

For this very reason, The RPF has been a signatory of the common article 3 in all four Geneva Convention, said the release and that it is preparing sign future conventions also.

Manipur Police should realize that their attempt to project RPF in a false light will never succeed, said the release and warned people to be wary of the nefarious design of the Indian Government, its puppet government here and its agent the Manipur Police.
