Imphal, May 28 2009: The armed militant outfit mainly of the Meetei-Muslims living in ManipurPeople's United Liberation Front (PULF) has asked the Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) 10 questions relating to the killing of Professor of Economics Department, Manipur University, Md Islamuddin and demanded answers to those questions.

The first questions is that whether Prof Md Islamuddin was at serial number 1 among those who were trying to discredit the MU or at which serial number he was.

The second question is that since Prof Islamuddin had been killed, there must be others too who would be killed.

Though their names are not disclosed, how many of them are there? .

In the third question was Prof Islamuddin involved in all corrupt activities said to be rife in all departments of MU? .

The fourth question iswas Prof Islamuddin the lone final authority in the election of MUSU? The fifth question is what is the inner motive behind the Lup's interference in the election of the president and other counsellors of MUSU? .

Sixth, when will certain revolutionary parties, which are trying to regain sovereignty and independence of the land, stop using secularism and democracy in a manner that suits their own wishes and whims? .

Seventh, can the KYKL give a list of the corrupt acts that had been committed by Prof Islamuddin in the MU along with place, time and proof? .

The eight and ninth questions have been censored by the All Manipur Working Journalists' Union (AMWJU) and the editors following a joint meeting held this evening at the Manipur Press Club here.

The tenth questions goes like thisjust as the revolutionaries know better about revolution, the MUSU or other authorities concerned know better about the MU.

Doesn't the party (KYKL) agree with this? What replies are going to be given to the statement of MUSU published in today's newspapers? .

These are the questions asked by Secretary Publicity, PULF, Anish Khan through a press release issued here today.

Anish Khan asked the KYKL to give replies to the questions through media along with proofs.

He stated, the PULF knows that KYKL is a rebel outfit which is trying to regain sovereignty and independence of the motherland.

The PULF also knows that KYKL had tried to bring qualitative changes in education and the society by introducing various programmes such as ONK.

Anish Khan further stated that there is no denying the fact that though PULF doesn't physically participate in all the activities taken up by the fellow insurgent organisations, it supports them mentally and morally.

However, he further it is a well-known fact that the Muslim community, also known as Meetei Pangal, which not even 10% of the total population of the state, is educationally, economically and socially backward.

Just eliminating Prof Islamuddin, who was regarded as a pioneer of such educationally backward Muslim community, without any warning has created a great vacuum in the society that will take a lot of time to fill up and has saddened the people.

In order to save the future generations from such a new trend, as a precautionary measure, the need to ask the questions arose, Anish Khan stated in his press release and added, the party had no relation whatsoever with Prof Islamuddin.

Yet, he was not only a Dean in the MU which is the highest centre of learning but also had taken important role in most of the activities of the university and there was possibility of his becoming even VC of the university.

This is known to the people of Manipur and the party as well.

That's why the party wants to ask some questions out of many that had been in the minds of the people of Manipur, not just the Muslim community without being able to ask openly, Anish Khan stated.

Anish Khan also stated that the party has never questioned the activities of any other insurgent organisation in the past.

The party knows that it has no right to object to or question the activity of other parties.

However, the party feels it right to comment on certain situation that threatens peace and integrity of the society and the land.

This time the people of Manipur are not satisfied with the vague and proof less accusations that had been poured over Prof Islamuddin after he had been killed.

Therefore, the party concerned needs to give a clear cut clarification with appropriate evidences so as to clear the misunderstandings of all people and communities, Anish Khan stated.
