KCP-KCP (MC) demands clarification

Imphal, April 24 2009: EXPRESSING concern over the firing of three rounds of gunfire at the residence of AMWJU General Secretary Biren Yambem which appeared in the April 19 issues of local dailies, the proscribed KCP-MC has demanded clarification from the concerned groups whosoever.

Lanheiba Meitei, Military Affairs secretary of the KCP-MC in a press statement pointed out that it could be the handiworks of Indian Army while saying that no militant group of the land would have hand behind the incident.

The KCP-MC statement also conveyed that the outfit's Kangleipak Feengang Lanmee (KFL) paid salute to the PREPAK's Red Army who have lost their lives in the Army operation code named "Summer Storm" while also sharing the grief of the people due to the operation.

The statement said that the Army had violated the 'rule of war' by launching operation Summer Storm at the only home of endangered Sangais, Keibul Lamjao and by using sophisticated weapons.

It said that the use of artillery and aircrafts shows that the Indian forces reckoned the revolutionaries in high esteem.

Lanheiba Meitei also cautioned the revolutionary groups of the state to remain alert in the face of the Army which can wage another war in the future.
