Imphal, April 05 2009: The KCP today identified the person killed on April 3 at Pourabi Nunggoi as one, Salam Joy alias Athouba son of Thoiba of Arong Nongmaikhong, an MFL cadre of the party who has been given capital punishment by the party due to his involvement in various misdeeds in the name of KCP.

A press release signed by the information and publicity secretary of KCP, H Poirei said that he was given the punishment to discourage other party cadres from following his footsteps and to correct the undisciplined cadres of the party.

In the meantime, the statement also clarified that the party has no relation with the incident of lobbing a bomb at the house of Dr Bilasini and the firing incident at the house of Sanjabam Gopal which were reported in newspapers.

The statement said that there is no post of Information and Public Relation Department and Assistant Secretary within the party.

The party also said that there is no person in the name of Kh Ojha while saying that he could be minting money in the name of KCP who might have close relation with the Manipur Police Commando.
