Imphal, February 12 2009: Accusing the Chief Minister and his henchmen of giving a free hand to the security forces to stage fake encounters in which numerous 'innocent people' have been killed in the recent past the proscribed PREPAK has detailed the incidents and list of innocent people killed in fake encounters.

A statement issued by the secretary-in-chargc of the department of publicity and propaganda of the outfit said that a combined team of Imphal West police commandos and 23 AR shot dead Salam Gurung of Sagoiband Meino Leirak and Soubam Baocha alias Kanta of Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai on December 28 last year at Leimakhong Mapal.

On January 3 this year a team of 32 AR and 115 BSF killed Yengkhom Surjit of Sandrok at Nongpok Sanjenbam while on January 2 this year a team of Bishnupur police commandos shot dead Irengbam Kumar Singh of Churachandpur at Ukhalok in Bishnupur, alleged the outfit.

The outfit further said that on January 11 this year a team of Thoubal police commandos and 21 AR shot dead Moirangthcm Tomba Singh of Langathel Laikhom bazar at Tezpur Angangching.

Again on January 19 a crippled man from Mahou Tera village, Chandel.

K Thoiba Singh was shot dead by a combined team of Thoubal police commandos and 21 AR at Wabagai Keirak Leikrak alleged the outfit and added that again on January 21 a team of Imphal West police commandos and 39 AR shot dead L Kunjabihari of Khurai Lairikyengbam Leikai at Sapermeina Makhan village.

Giving further details.

PREPAK said that on February 4 a team of Thoubal police commandos and 21 AR shot dead Arambam Tikendrajit Singh of Sekmaijin bazar at Thongam Nungfou Chingkhong.

On February S Imphal West police commandos and I2 MLI shot dead Naorem Bobo (21) of Luker Mayai Leikai and N Niranjoy of Ngairangbam.

The outfit also 'advised" the police commandos and the Government to respect the people and the stop fake encounters.
