Imphal, June 29 2009: The Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the brutal killing of Md.Mujibur Rahman has warned of launching agitations against the OC of Lilong PS if he fails to book the murderers.

The secretary of the JAC, Md.Ahmad Ali stated in a statement that Mujibur Rahman, son of MV Basir Rahman of Lilong Khunou was shot dead on June 24 for stealing battery from the house of one Md.Firoz Khan of Lilong Tairel Makhong.

And the brother of Mujibur was also critically injured after being struck at his head with spade.

The statement further stated that the kin of Mujibur Rahman are also hunted by the police instead of initiating a case against the culprits.

It also pointed out that the killers were Md.Firoz Khan (30) Md.Khajao (26), Md.Momo (20), Sahenaz (23) all sons and daughter of (L) Isub Ali, Visai Bibi (25) wife of Firoz Khan, and Tombi Bibi (55) wife of (L) Isub Ali.

The JAC warned of launching intense agitations against the OC of Lilong PS if the police fail to book the culprits within two days.

A public meeting will be held at Lilong Bazar on Tuesday.
