Imphal, January 27 2010: In connection with the brutal murder of a mother and her daughter at Phayeng in Imphal West district, police have interrogated two brothers.

According to police report, Ningthoujam Chaoba of Phayeng Ching Khunou was summoned from his house at around 5 am today for interrogation.

After the interrogation, Chaoba was released and his younger Inaothoi (20) was called up for interrogation.

However, as no sign of their involvement in the murder can be detected, the younger brother too have been set free.

On the other hand, a police team led by SDPO Imphal West Ibomcha Singh reportedly visited the site of the crime for investigation for the second time.

It may be recalled here that Angom Ongbi Chanbi and her daughter Meneka have been reported abducted by unidentified persons from their house in the intervening nights of January 12 and 13.But their bodies were found on January 23 .
