Imphal, June 07 2009: The People's United Liberation Front (PULF) has today stated that the explanation and clarifications of the KYKL on the killing of Prof Islamuddin are not satisfactory and doubtful while also stating that the KYKL is unable to give reasonable answers to the ten questions posed by the PULF.

In a statement, publicity secretary of PULF, Aanish Khan maintained that the clarifications made by the KYKL regarding the killing of Prof Islamuddin are vague, lacking evidence, and misleading.

The fact that the KYKL is unable to give even a direct answer to a single question is very unfortunate and it is acknowledged that the KYKL feels humiliated in responding the questions as it was an unwanted incident, the PULF statement observed.

The outfit also admitted that the group's inability to respond to the questions raised is taken as fearing that the support of the public will diminish, it stated.

It also stated that the killing of Prof Islamuddin by an esteemed organisation like the KYKL without warning is unbecoming of a true revolutionary group.

The incident is very disgraceful while reading and weighing against the history of successful world's revolutionary group like the Palestine's PLO, Chinese's and Nepal's PLA histories, it added.

History is a witness to warriors winning accolades in battlefields but never tried to cause harms in educational institutions and civilians, it stated.

It has been clearly established after deliberating the obscure, roundabout clarifications of the KYKL based on some preceding issues through the media that Prof Islamuddin did not deserve awarding capital punishment, the statement pointed out.

Recalling the English maxim 'No man is perfect and to err is human,' the PULF statement stated that just as there are no blameless people, Prof Islamuddin might have committed a mistake, but as it has been clear to all sections of the people including the KYKL, the outfit also evidently knows that Prof Islamuddin did not have any guilt that deserves death penalty or killing.

The outfit also knew that there have been several officials in MU and its subordinate colleges whose guiltiness were more greater than Prof Islamuddin's and were reprimanded by the KYKL after summoning them or taken into custody, it noted.

Meanwhile, people might have known unambiguously that who had killed Prof Islamuddin in which way, upon whose instigation, why, and in whose gun, wherein the KYKL claimed hands after going through media reports, it stated.

Stating that the killing of Prof Islamuddin was very unfortunate, the statement also wonders how the KYKL, who claims big responsibility in educational institutions, involved in dishonouring MU.

Why the KYKL was unable to give answer to MUSU's statement through the media asking why the KYKL was not punishing guilty officials and students of the university who practiced nepotism in appointment matter?, it asked.

It further conveyed that thing which can create a gap and are detrimental for the society in the long run should not be committed in trying to achieve personal gain, and it is essential to desist from executing things that can harm the interest of a community.

It also urged to shun the habitual way of hurling allegations after killing.

It also pointed out that nobody is flourishing person ('Omar') and it is clear that Prof Islamuddin would not be back to life.

However, as fire cannot be draped in cloth, it is important to think coolly as it is to everybody's knowledge that the truth will surely emerge though after a long time, it stated.

Prof Islamuddin's kin and students may not be able to stand against armed militants.

But people are the soul of the revolutionaries while rhetorically asking how long people would dare to be beside a soulless person, the PULF statement argued.

It added that this is the right time to learn a lesson from the past mistakes.

The statement also pointed out that the KYKL holds a wrong notion that PULF is standing in favour of only the Meitei-Pangals while asserting that 20 percent of the total strength of the PULF is constituted by Meiteis brethren and another 5 percent by other communities.

The outfit has never remained silent on every issue of the state and it would continue to do so, it asserted.

The party also agreed that PULF has taken interest in some common issues of the minorities and deprived sections, it added while asking who will stand for them if not the PULF.

What positive measure has the KYKL taken so far exclusively for the deprived community in all walks?, the statement asked.

It further contended to state that before the killing of Prof Islamuddin, the KYKL has killed several Meitei-Pangals, fined many others, and assaulted many in the name of the good for the society.

Though it has harmed many innocents the PULF has never reacted with those incidents for the good of the society is an unquestionable reality, it asserted.

Citing an instance, the statement pointed out that the KYKL had killed two 'Mouluvi' trainees (students of Islamism) while searching for a drug peddler Thoibi in 2005.It stated that the PULF did not lash out its tongue even when Mouluvi and innocent were killed.

There is nothing to feel bad in admitting the truth and the false, it stated while adding that it will be good for every one, not only for the KYKL, in compromising after admitting their mistakes, it stated.

The PULF was asking the questions to state the reasonable time, date and place as fellow revolutionaries to clear all doubts of the people and to regain the lost distrust of the people but not on communal, or stronger and weaker sections issue, it stated.

It also appealed all section of the people that the message of the outfit, if remembered, would be helpful in maintaining integrity and peace in the state.

It is necessary to turn into action the slogan of oneness with all heart and soul every time and everywhere instead of preaching it only through the mouth, the statement urged.

As development of all communities is necessary to develop the state, it added that it is also necessary to identify the common issue of the minority and deprived community for development of the land.

One usually fails to remember one's mistake, even one recognises faults one refuses to admit it.

This has been taken as a gift from God, it stated.

The PULF statement also calls for peaceful coexistence by overlooking the past misunderstandings, and unwanted things while also expressing its desires to work in cooperation according to time and places.
