Imphal, October 04 2009: Miscreants shot to injure a youth at Dimdailong, New Chekon under Porompat police station of Imphal east this evening at about 6.30 o'clock.

The youth has been identified as Lalboy alias Solal (38) son of village chief Jamkholen of Khamenglok Khupibung (T Jolalphai) village.

He is currently staying at a rented house at New Lambulane and helping his father in the official for NREGS working.

He has been admitted at RIMs hospital with bullet injury at the chest which exited on the right armpit.Injured Lalboy said he was shot at by two armed persons suspected to be KRF of KNF(P) while he entered to a wind vender at Dimdailong.

When, he was about to take a seat at the vender one of the two suspects took out a small gun and shoot at him at point blank at the chest.

They say anything while shooting at him.

He could not imagine the reason behind the attack, he added.
