Imphal, October 31 2009: A non-local shot dead even as two bombs including one at the Imphal hospital exploded in separate militancy related incidents occurred in Manipur today.

Police report said that the non-local, a residence of Karmara village of Uttar Pradesh, Bareilla district identified as Jaishanker Prashad (47), son of Thakur Prashad was shot dead by suspected undergrounds this morning at about 6.30am near the foothill of Wangoo Laipham Chuthek under Kumbi police station of Bishnupur district.

He succumbed to his injury at the spot.

The non-local was running a meat vendor at Sagang Bazar.

He went out from his rented house with Rs 12,000 in his pocket for buying pork for his business with a bicycle.

Not long after, he left home miscreants shot them at the foothill.

Only Rs 3,500 was found from his possession even though family claims him possessing Rs 12,000 while going out from home.

After postmortem at Lilong Mortuary, the dead body has been handed over to the family.

Today's attack on non-local was after a gap of around three months.

Over 20 non-locals have been killed and injured to as many as three in the series of attacks on the non-locals during the current year 2009 since the first incident of attack on them occurred on February 28 when a barber are shot dead his saloon.

Meanwhile, a bomb hurled by unknown miscreants exploded at the Imphal Hospital, Lalambung Makhong along the RIMS road, Imphal at about 11.30 am.

No one injure in the blast but caused damages to a scooter parked at the garage of the hospital belonging to a staff of the hospital and a power generator installed at the garage.

According to a staff of the hospital, they come know the explosion of bomb only when they inspected after hearing a laud sound of something explosion nearby.

Earlier also, miscreants had attack the hospital at least three to four times.

The bomb was not a powerful one.

That was why no major casualty occurred in the blast, a police officer said.

Miscreants also exploded a bomb at the house of an individual named RK Arunkumar at Radhamadhov Leikai, Ningthoukhong in Bishnupur district at about 7.40 am today.

No casualty reported in bomb blast at the courtyard of the house.
