Imphal, August 26 2009: The lifeless body of 18-year old youth killed by a combined team of Bishnupur police commandos and troops of 4/8 Gorkha Rifles on last Monday still lying at RIMS morgue as family with the supports of the villagers of Irom Meijarao refused to accept the body.

The family and villagers who conducted spot inspection to the site at Toubul and Moirangkhong under Bishnupur police station where 18-year old Yumnam Kumarjit son of Nipamacha of Irom Meijarao Mamang Makha Leikai was killed in alleged encounter by the security forces in the morning of August 24 .

Yengkhom Abe, aunty of the slain Kumarjit said during the spot visit, they recovered a projectile and an empty case which apparently hit to kill him at point blank from the spot.

The projectile was found around 6 inches inside the soil in a pool of blood.

They suspected that he was killed after abduction and brought there, she added.

In most of time, Kumarjit use to stay at the house of his aunt Abe at Japhou village of Chandel.

He was among the children taken away by undergrounds for recruiting as their cadre but decamped from them and now earning livelihood with day to day available works.

Family has been searching as he failed to back home after he went out from his aunt's house August 12 last stating that he was going to his house at Irom Meijarao but failed to arrived at the house.

He is a very young to be an underground activist and family could not believed that he was killed in encounter.

With regard to the killing incident, villagers has formed a Joint Action Committee and demanded CBI inquiry into the incident and punishment to the security personnel involved in the incident.

The dead body will not receive till the demand of the JAC is fulfill by the state government, a spokesperson of the JAC informed.
