Two more UG suspects felled, one nabbed

Imphal, November 15 2008: A TEAM of the Imphal west police commandos today shot dead two suspected underground activists in an alleged encounter that occurred near the foot hill of Langthabal under Singjamei police station.

A KCP(MC) activist was also nabbed by a combined team of Imphal east police commandos and troops of 115 BSF today from Nongren area.

Police recovered a USA carbine, a .38 revolver along with a magazine loaded with one live round from the two slain persons.

Singjamei police shifted the unidentified dead bodies to the RIMS morgue for official procedures.

One of the slain persons is around 5.1 feet in height, wears a pair of blue colour jeans, a blue-black jogging shirt with a multi-colour T-shirt inside while the other one is around 5.6 feet in height.

He also wears a pair of blue jeans and a yellow colour T-shirt.

Meanwhile, a combined force of Imphal east police commandos and troops of 115 battalion BSF apprehended a KCP(MC) activist who has been alleged of involving in collecting money from government offices, oil pump and NGOs from Nongren village this morning around 4.30 am.

He was identified as Kangujam Sanjoy (32) son of K Tomba of Nongren Awang Leikai.
