Imphal, November 09 2008: TWO MORE persons, said to be cadres of PULF-MI Khan group including the SS Thoubal District Commander, were killed in two separate incidents that happened this evening.

Troops of 32 AR gunned down one suspected cadre in an alleged encounter at Hiyangthang Tarahei Konjil under Wangoi PS at around 5.20 p.m.The deceased has been identified as one Abdul Kalam, son of Abdul Rashid of Lilong Yangbi Wangma, who is said to be Assistance Finance Secretary as well as Thoubal District Commander of the group.

A lot of incriminating objects and documents were recovered from his possession.

In another incident at Sanjenbam under Wangoi PS, a combined team of police commando and 12 Maratha Light Infantry shot dead a youth in an alleged encounter.

The deceased yet to be identified.
