Imphal, May 08 2009: Miscreants exploded three bombs at two different places tonight leaving a woman injured in one of the blast took place at the house of an officer of the state agriculture department at Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi.

One of the bombs exploded at the resident Ningombam Sharat, an officer of the state agriculture department at Wangkhei Keithel Ashangbi today at around 6.50 pm while the other two exploded at the office premises of the Ukhrul zonal educational office at Phungreitang at around 8.05 pm.

Wife of the agriculture officer identified as Madhubala sustained splinter injuries in the bomb explosion.

She was immediately hospitalized at Shija Hospital and her condition is stated to be under critical.

The bomb was hurled from the gate of the house on the southern side by some unknown persons.

The bomb exploded when Madhubala was watering to the flowers at the spot at the front courtyard of the house.

Splinters hit Madhubala at her right side belly and leg.

Police as well as family is yet to know which party or group hurled the bomb for what reason even though it was apparently related with the monetary demand.

Meanwhile, two bombs exploded simultaneously at the Ukhrul Zonal Office located at Phunreitang under Ukhrul police station tonight at around 8.05 pm.

None sustained injuries at the blast, report said.

One of the bombs exploded near the office gate while the other exploded at campus of the office.

No major damaged caused to the office in the explosion.

Ukhrul where there has been peace for a long time since NSCN(IM) entered peace talks with the government of India, explosion of bombs have been on the raise in the last few months.
