Imphal, December 07 2008: THE BHARATIYA Janata Party (BJP), Manipur Pradesh has not only charged the Congress led SPF government with indulging in heavy corruption but also with turning Manipur into the killing fields.

President of BJP, Manipur Pradesh, Dr Haobam Borbabu, at a function organised to felicitate those eminent politicians who recently joined the Party held at the Party's Keishamthong Mandal office today, charged that the SPF government was indulging in business of buying and selling jobs.

This has made the people of Manipur suffer from scarcity of food stuffs.

The people of India under the Congress rule at the Centre have been facing untold sufferings and miseries, Dr Borbabu said adding, therefore the people have started defeating the Congress in elections in different parts of the country.

He further said that many senior politicians who have vast experiences in administration and politics have come to believe that the NDA led by BJP would come to power in after the coming Lok Sabha elections.

That's why they have joined BJP, he said.

Former Chief Minister of Manipur, W Nipamacha, one of the eminent politicians who joined BJP, said that he and his colleagues joined the party with the belief that it would be able to rout Congress in the coming general elections.

Former Chief Minister, RK Dorendro said that under the Congress rule, wrong doers get food to eat while right doers starve.

The issues of terrorism also come about mostly during Congress regime.

The Congress government was dealing in buying and selling jobs.

He joined the BJP to overthrow the Congress, he said.

Ex-MLA, Laishom Ibomcha said Congress was the most communal party.
