Imphal, November 05 2009: The man who has been arrested in connection with the murder of Dr Huidrom Binodkumar has been sent to jail today after producing in the court of the Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Imphal where he was further remanded in the judicial custody till November 18 .

Wahengbam Sunil son of Rajen of Khurai Nandeibam Leikai was arrested by the police on October 23 last.

He was produced in the court of judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Imphal today for further remand into the police custody.

The court remanded him in the judicial custody till November 18.Later police sent him into jail.

Mention may be made that Doctor Huidrom Binodkumar, former medical superintendent of Bishnupur was found murder after kidnapped by unknown(s) at a hut at Ishikhapat on October 21 .

They killed him after allegedly looting Rs 2 lakh, he withdrawn from the bank.

Heingang police registered a suo-motto case with regard to the brutal murder of the doctor under section 302/34 and Sunil was arrested during the course of investigation.

Sources said that Sunil had admitted that he was involved in plotting the murder of the doctor.

According to the disclosure made by him to the police, Binodkumar was abducted by one Mamang Kuki, an active member of the KNF along with three cadres of the outfit at about 2 pm of October 21from North AOC.

They took away Binodkumar at Ishikha village on that day as per disclosure made by Sunil and found killed in the next morning.
