Imphal, February 05, 2009: UG suspects slain in the last 48 hours in reported encounters with security forces at different places have been identified.

The identity of the suspected PREPAK cadre shot dead in a reported encounter with a combined force of Imphal West commandos and troops of 16 AR at Kangchup Chiru village last night has been established as one Thokchom Mangal alias Inaocha (20) s/o Ranjit of Takyel Kolom Leikai.

He went out on a motor cycle (CBZ) yesterday.

Soon after he left, suspect ed commandos came to his house in one Santro car and a Gypsy and asked for him, conveyed family members.

The corpse has been claimed by family members after post mortem at RIMS today.

The suspected PREPAK cadre shot dead by a combined team of Thoubal police commandos and troops of 21 ARatKakching Khunou yesterday afternoon has been identified as Arambam Tikendrajit (36) s/ o late Leiren of Sekmaijin Bazar.

He was a driver of passenger bus.

One of his son had been killed in a shootout between UG cadres.

The corpse has been handed over to family members after post mortem at RIMS.

One slain individual of the two persons shot dead in another reported en counter at Kangchup Makhom village with troops of 16 AR on February 3 who remained unidentified has been identified today.

He was one Laishangbam Bishan (16) s/ o Joychandra of Moidangpok Korouhanba Laimang.

He left home about eight months back.

There is also a missing report at Patsoi police station.

After completion of post mortem at RIMS today, family members have claimed the corpse.
