Imphal, January 25 2010: The underground armed group of KCP(MC) Lanheiba faction tonight has owned up to carrying out the bomb attack near the Commando Complex in Imphal West district injuring at least three police commandos.

A press release issued tonight by Lanheiba Meitei, Secretary, Military Affairs, KCP (MC) claimed that cadres of the Red Army of the party also tried to plant bombs inside the Leimakhong Army Headquarters to attack the enemy.

Lanheiba Meitei further stated that several revolutionary organisations had called for boycott of the celebrations of India's Republic Day, and declared that they would not allow the Day to be celebrated on the soil of Kangleipak.

However, it is only this party that does not only utter words with the mouth but also poses challenge with action of violence.

The party always remains prepared to attack the enemy as a mark of protest against the celebration of India's Republic Day in the region every year, Lanheiba Meitei asserted.

The Central Security Council (CSC) of the party has praised the 5th Unit (Special Demo Team) of Kanglei Pheengang Lanmee (KFL) of which cadres carefully intruded on the areas under tight security to carry out attacks.
