Demanding release of the student activists, protest sittings were staged at Nongmeibung, New Checkon, New Lambulane, Lainingthou Awangba School, Lamlong Hr Sec School, Lamlong Girls' High School, Sajor Leikai High School, Popular High School, Kongpal Iranpham and Top Khongnangkhong.
Effigy of the Chief Minister was also burnt at Top Khongnangkhong Bazar.

Demanding release of the five student activists being detained under NSA in connection with the murder of Prof Islamuddin, protest demonstrations continued at different places today.
Hundreds of students and Meira Paibis took out a protest rally from Lamlong Hr Secondary School to Sajiwa Central Jail where the NSA Advisory Board was holding a meeting.
