Imphal, June 01 2009: A three member team of the All Manipur Muslim Girls' Students' Union is set to proceed to Delhi to pressure the Centre to deliver justice in the assassination case of Prof Md Islamuddin on MU campus of May 25 .

The team to be led by the Union's president M Ruksher Choudhury will also meet leaders of the All India Muslim Girls' Students' Union (AIMGSU) to highlight the inconveniences faced by Muslim girls in Manipur while pursuing their studies.

The student leader, Ruksher said that other than insisting the Central leaders including the Prime Minister and Union Home Minister to deliver justice in the assassination of the late Professor, they will also meet leaders of AIMGSU to discuss an array of issues including the plight of Muslim girls in Manipur while pursuing their academic career.

Meanwhile MU Vice Chancellor Prof C Amuba Singh convened a meeting with the HoDs of the University to discuss the situation following the assassination of Prof Md Islamuddin.
