Imphal, March 25 2009: Two more suspected underground activists were killed today at separate places in the continuing counter insurgency operations of the state police commandos joinly with security forces in the state.

In one of the incident occurred at Ngarian some 4.5 km north-west of Bishnupur police station, a combined force of Thoubal police commandos and troops of 4/5 Gorkha Rifles gunned dwon a suspected underground this evening at around 5 pm.

A pistol loaded with five rounds of ammunitions recovered from the slain suspect, police said.

The other incident occurred near the Kamong Phoijing hill under Nambol police station tonight at around 8.45 pm in which another combined force of Thoubal police station and troops of 12 Maratha Light Infantry in what they said in encounter.

A 9 mm pistol with five rounds of ammunitions in it recovered from the possession of the suspect, police said.

On the other hand, security also nabbed three activists of underground outfits including one KCP and two UKRA from different places today.
