Imphal, November 06 2009: The proscribed People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) has offered revolutionary salute to its departed red army, 'L/Cpl' Elangbam Tangba alias Bungo alias Doren (20), son of E Sanajaoba of Hiyanglam Tera Pishak, who lost his life in an encounter with the combined force of Imphal West district police commandos and 12 MLI at Yangoi Maril under Wangoi police station on November 4 .

A release issued by the secretary in-charge of the departmentof publicity and propaganda of the PREPAK, Aheiba Angom stated that Doren received military training in the 22nd batch.

He met his end while trying to lead the Red Army to a safe distance when they were surrounded by the enemy forces.

The other cadres had reached the outfit's transit camp safely.

The statement also noted that he saved the other cadres at the cost of his life. The outfit also shared the grief of the bereaved family members.
