Imphal, May 05 2009: A bomb hurled by unidentified armed persons blew off at the residence of retired MPS officer N Sudhir at Khagempalli Pankha under Singjamei Police Station at around 10.45 am today.

In connection with the bomb attack at his residence today, Sudhir who retired from service five years back clarified that he had not received any monetary demand or threat from any armed UG group.

Such unwarranted attacks disturbed the normal lives of innocent people apart from causing fear and panic, he lamented, while appealing to all concerned to ensure such incidents do not recur.

Though there is no human casualty in the explosion which took place near the gate of the house, a car kept inside the nearby garage was damaged.
