Imphal, April 30 2009: TWO DAYS after the killing of a youth at the courtyard of his own house under Lamlai police station in Imphal east, another youth was also killed by miscreants last night at Ninthemcha village under the same police station last night at around 11.45 pm.

The youth identified as Maibam Nanao alias Tanden (26) son of Chinglen of Ningthem Khun was shot dead by around five unknown persons after dragging out from the home while he was sleeping at his bed room last night.

He was married man with a child.

As related by the family today, five to six miscreants including two with small arms entered to the house at around 11.45 pm last night by breaking the front door.

One of them is known to the deceased Nanao.

When they tried to carry away him, family members intervened.

At that they threatened by shooting two rounds of guns in the house.

Mother of the Nanao fainted at the acts of the miscreants.

Despite repeated plea to forgive him if he happened to do any wrong against them, they dragged away Nanao upto the gate of the house.

Then they fired at Nanao for amny time hitting him by four bullets at the legs and buttock.

He succumbed to bullet injury at once, the family recounted.

Nanao was a former KYKL who obtained training under the outfit and live at home after he suffered from malaria after around four months in the party.

He has known colleagues at the Assam Rifles post at Yaingangpokpi.

The family is yet to know the motive behind the killing of their son.

Mention may be made that on the night of April 28 last a youth was also shot dead by miscreants at the courtyard of his own house at Sekta Makha Leikai under Lamlai police station.
