Imphal, July 23 2009: A girl preparing meal at the kitchen sustained injury when a bomb blasted at the house of the deputy commissioner of taxation, Hopeson Chothe at Lamphel Sana Keithel tonight at around 7.20 pm.

The house of the taxation commissioner is located some 500 meter away on the east of the Lamphel police station.

The bomb exploded near the wall of the kitchen of the house where his 16 year old daughter Awaila was preparing meal.

She has been hospitalized at hospital injuries at neck and arm with pieces of the window paint shattered by the impact of the blast.

Regarding the incident, Hopeson said he has no enmity with anyone except monetary demand served by various underground organizations from the department he is working.

He assumed the attack being in relation with monetary demand.

According to the injured Awaila, a youth called as "Tamo tamo from the roadside direction and later, she could heard hitting something at the wall of kitchen which exploded subsequently.
