Imphal, November 10 2008: The identity of the individual shot dead during a reported encounter with Imphal West commandos at Sanjenbam under Wangoi police station last night has been established.

He was one Thingbaijam Rajen alias Kangjamba (26) s/o Biramani of Yurembam Awang Leikai.

The corpse has been claimed by family members after completing post mortem at RIMS today.

The other youth apprehended by the commandos in the same incident has been identified as Soraisam Naocha (18) s/o Ibotombi of Yurembam Awang Leikai.

Meanwhile, the suspected UG cadre shot dead by Imphal East commandos at Thambalkhong Sabal Leikai in the night of November 6 has been identified as Chandam Joykumar (30) s/o Muktamani Devi of Khurai Sajor Leikai.

After completing post mortem at RIMS today, the corpse has been handed over to family members.

The corpse of PULF assistant finance secretary and Thoubal district commander Abdul Kalam alias Haroon Sheikh (26) s/o Abdul Rashid of Lilong Yangbi shot dead by troops of 32 AR at Hiyangthang Tarahei Konjil last night has also been claimed by family members after post mortem at RIMS today.
