Imphal, December 06 2009: Police today retrieved bullet-riddled dead bodies of two suspected cadres of a Kuki armed group from two places under Churachandpur police station of the district.

Police suspect, the two were killed by cadres a rival group of the same community, who intercepted them after their desertion from their camp.

One of the two slain cadres has been identified as Hengkhomang Taothang @ Tiger (37), son of Yamkhosei of Janglengphai village and Mamang (36), son of Kaothang of Bijang village.

They were said to be deserters from their group, police added.

The bullet riddled dead body of Tiger was recovered by the police from near B Ronem Church near Khuga river under Churachnadpur police station while that of Mamang was recovered from Tuibong village early this morning.
