Imphal, June 03 2009: Crying for justice, Loitongbam Sarat, father of Loitongbam Satish of Singjamei Oinam Thingel who was reportedly killed by a combined force of Thoubal Police Commandos and 23 Assam Rifles though the family members claimed it was a fake encounter today met the Governor and submitted a memorandum.

During the meeting, the Governor assured that he would be asking the Govt to submit a report in connection with the case of Satish at the earliest possible, Sarat, who is a member of the Ist Manipur Legislative Assembly in 1972, told mediapersons.

In the memorandum, Sarat contended that his son was an innocent person and was killed in a fake encounter and requested the Governor for intervention to initiate a judicial inquiry into the custodial killing of his son for the sake of justice.
