Lamka, October 08 2009: The UKLA (MC) duo killed in an encounter here with the Assam Rifles yesterday was identified today, with both the family members claiming their bodies later in the day.

The slain duo has been identified as Lamgoulien, 18 son of Kamkhothon of Thangkanphai village in under Kangpokpi and Thangminlien alias Daniel, 23 son of Chungkholet of Supermeina, Sadar Hills.

Though family members refuse to reveal much about the background of the slain youths, Thangminlien, they said left his family sometime in 2008 with an assurance that he will go to Mizoram in search of better livelihood.

He was not seen ever since but keeps calling his family saying that he was doing fine.

The dead bodies were taken to their respective home after post-mortem was conducted at the district hospital here and a brief halt at KKL complex.
