Imphal, May 08 2009: Another underground suspect was killed today in a reported encounter with a combined force of Thoubal district police commando and 23AR at a place in the foothills near Napetpalli under Lamlai police station in Imphal East district.

A 9mm pistol, a magazine with four live rounds, and five live rounds of AK Assault rifles were recovered from the possession of the slain suspect, according to report.

The deceased activist is suspected to be a KCP (MC) cadre, the report said.

The dead body has been deposited at the RIMS morgue for identification and necessary formalities.

Meanwhile, the identity of the dead body who was killed yesterday under Moreh police station has been established.

The deceased is Oinam Ravichandra alias Muthi (38) son of O Nilachandra of Pishum Oinam Leikai.

His dead body has been claimed for the last rite after conducting post mortem at RIMS.
