Imphal, November 03 2009: Following a nasty quarrel among four individuals, three rounds of shots were fired near Job Centre, Babupara at about 4 pm today.

According to eye-witnesses, four persons clad in plain clothes came there and engaged themselves in a heated argument.

As one of them tried to draw out a gun, the others told him not to draw out any gun as all them have weapons.

But soon after, three rounds of gun-shots apparently fired by one of the quarrelling men was heard.

One of them fled towards Moirangkhom.

After the incident, police commandos led by Additional SPs of Imphal West and Imphal East and Commando OC of Imphal West rushed in Moirangkhom area and launched a search operation there.

Another search operation was also conducted in the surrounding areas of Kalimai temple and the Government press.

However, there is no report of any arrest.
