Imphal, June 30 2009: Identities of the individuals slain in encounters with security forces as well as those killed by unidentified persons in greater Imphal area have been established.

The individual shot dead by a combined team of Imphal East commandos and troops of 28 AR on the road to MAASI complex, Keirao last night has been identified as Razak Khan (28) s/o late Abdul Jalal of Lilong Leihao Makhong.

The identity of the youth shot dead by unidentified persons at Langthabal Kunja along NH 39 last night has been established as Md Islamudin (24) of Haoreibi Yangbi Leikai.

The individual shot dead by Imphal West commandos near Catholic School Canchipur, Liwa Road on June 28 has been identified as Huirom Premchandra alias Boby (29) s/o late Lilando of Naoremthong Takhellambam Leikai.

It is reported that he was former cadre of PREPAK.

The corpses have been claimed by families after post mortem today.
