Imphal, May 30 2009: In protest against the last night's firing attack by unidentified armed persons at the Thangmeiband Yumnam Leikai residence of Laishram Gopal Singh who is the District Forest Officer of Tamenglong district, people of the locality today staged at Wakat Meepham at Lilashing Khongnangkhong.

The protest demonstration held under the joint aegis of Thangmeiband Improvement Club and the Meira Paibi lup, while decrying such attacks in densely populated area also urged all concerned to restraint from committing similar act in future.
