Imphal, July 26: Volunteers of Phairenbam Youth Development Organisation reportedly confiscated poultry products (broilers) brought from Imphal in a Van at Moirang Phairenjam Leikai at around 9 am today.

However, the Van reportedly managed to sneak and went ahead towards Kumbi side along with some poultry products.

Sources said, many poultry products from Imphal area are being smuggled to other places.

The president of YDO, Moirang has appealed to all not to smuggle birds from the infected zones to other parts of the State.

Thoubal police and Bishnupur police have also alerted their personnel to be on the look out for birds being smuggled in from Imphal.
