Imphal, February 16 2009: The hunger relay strike being launched by Sharmila Kanba Lup near Porompat PDA complex in pursuance of the demand to repeal Armed Forces Special Powers Act and save the life of Sharmila has completed 69 days today.

On the 69th day today, members of Liwa Ideal Women's Association, Chingamakha Chaokhat Khongthang Lup, Kakwa Sorokhaibam Leikai Meira Paibi Lup participated in the hunger relay strike.

In support of the same cause, members of Sangram Laikol Meira Paibi Lup and Langathel Meira Paibi Lup launched a similar hunger relay strike at the community hall of Khongjom Bazar today.
