Imphal, May 10 2009: With the booking of two police commando personnel in the abduction case of a civilian, more skeletons tumble out of the security forces' reported encounters which claim several lives.

As such, the three persons who were killed by a combined team of the Imphal East police commando and 28 Assam Rifles yesterday at Kalika Chingkhong under Irilbung police station in a reported encounter had happened to have been arrested from Dimapur last month.

Meanwhile, the two persons, killed by 21 AR personnel at Irengban Hawairok Loukon under Kakching Police station in another reported encounter, had been killed after being utilised by the AR.

The slain persons at Kalika under Irilbung Police Station have been identified by their respective families as Sorokhaibam Budha alias Monimacha (38) son of (L) Churachand of Serou Awang Leikai Part I, Thingbaijam Homen (22) son of (L) Bijoy of Serou Awang Leikai Part I, and Thounaojam Dhananjoy (35) son of Budhi of Khongjom Patpal.

According to family source, the three had been arrested from 'Network Hotel' at Dimapur by three civil dress individuals and some AR personnel around 6pm on April 28 last.

Tampakleima, the wife of the late Budha said that her husband had been at Dimapur trading in 'Ngari,' and other grocery items.

She said that a complaint has been lodged about the arrest of Budha with the Dimapur police station on April 30.Hence, she said, her husband has not been killed in an encounter but he was killed after taking him at the Imphal East police commando complex and detaining him for few days at the complex.

According to the disclosure made by the family members of Homen, Homen had been staying with his aunt at Zwalapani, who went to Dimapur to participate in the recruitment rally of the Nagaland police while strongly refuting the police version of recovering a hand grenade from his possession.

A JAC was formed today at Khongjom Patpal to condemn and protest the extra-judicial killings.

A press statement released by the JAC stated that Dhananjoy was penalised once by the PLA for trading in liquor from Moreh in 2008.The statement questions why he would join the PLA when he was once punished by the same outfit.

It further stated that his family members had knocked every possible door after receiving the report of his arrest at a hotel in Dimapur on April 28 while also demanding fitting punishment against the personnel involved in the killing.

Meanwhile, the two killed within the jurisdiction of Kakching police station have been identified as Md.Alauddin (23) son of Tamezuddin of Sora Mayai Leikai and Md.Safir Khan (24) son of (L) Mangrou of Sora Mamang Leikai.

Family source said that Safir Khan was a surrendered PULF member who has led a family life with a one year old daughter while Alauddin was a drug addict who had been arrested by the Assam Rifles twice earlier.

The AR had also used the two for their cause who had also sometimes spent a night at the Kakching AR post.

The source said that he went to the AR post on being called by AR personnel known as Ali and Kom through the telephone.

However, they were traceless in the evening.

At the same time, the infuriated crowds of Kakching stormed the AR Post this afternoon demanding to produce Ali and Kom who allegedly betrayed their retainers.

The crowds were dispersed after the personnel assured them to visit the village when the OC of the post come back.
