Imphal, September 29 2009: One unarmed security personnel of Langol View Charitable Clinic sustained injuries when a hand grenade exploded inside the hospital premises in the wee hour today.

The hand grenade hurled by some unidentified persons exploded near the steel shutter of the clinic, located just adjacent to the RIMS south gate at about 3.30 am.

The injured security personnel has been identified as Athaipou (22) s/o Mathuijai of Marangching, Tamenglong.

He is an employee of a private security company named Sona Security Service.

He sustained injuries on the foot.
