Imphal, July 29: Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) expressed suspicion that there might be having some hidden agenda of 12 Maratha Light Infantry with their attempt to kidnap a two and a half years old kid of Waheng Kuman yesterday.

A press statement of the students' body said that a question arises with the foiled attempt whether the Army is conspiring to add fire to the already enraged public of the State.

The students' body also asked whether the Army is trying to add bitterness to the minds of the innocent public against UGs.

As there are lots of hue and cry against child kidnapping all over the State, the innocent public could have easily mistaken that the kid was abducted by the UGs if the Army in the civies were succeeded with their effort.

The students' body also asked whether the higher authorities of the Army and State Government will not take any action against the conspiring personnel.

MSF also asked why the personnel in civvies sped away if they did not try to kidnap the child.

The students' body urged the Army to clarify in this regard.
